Location based services (LBS) promises to be the next big Internet business since the dot com explosion. The technology is reaching a critical mass with low cost and small GPS receivers in many devices. Within this market, the fastest growing segment is the in-car LBS. Currently only 1% of cars have in-car LBS, mostly in form of a navigational system; and the market segment is growing at about 150% per year.

Although the market for in-car navigational systems continue to absorb new companies, TrafficZag will be a lot more. We will create a community of drivers and commuters. TrafficZag members will anonymously and automatically share information about real time traffic, road conditions, alternative routes, parking, and places to eat and shop while getting the traditional benefits of in-car navigational systems.

What We Do

TrafficZag was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2007. TrafficZag creates a community of drivers helping each other avoid or mitigate traffic delays by receiving customized traffic reports and alternate route selections based on location and real-time traffic information. TrafficZag leverages the existing in-car navigation technology and current traffic reporting tools and adds the two way communication with the vehicle using our proprietary algorithms that customizes the traffic report for each vehicle.
